Fassbinder's "Berlin Alexanderplatz" @ MoMA
Dear Friends, Fans, and Followers of Fassbinder and his Oeuvre:
As most of you have heard, our most ambitious project to-date – Berlin Alexanderplatz - Remastered – had its world premiere at this year’s Berlin Festival in the Berlinale Special section. It was a spectacular success for all parties involved, and the press called it “the film event of the year”.
Now we are ready to cross the Atlantic and bring Fassbinder’s masterpiece Berlin Alexanderplatz - Remastered to the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, one of our partners and collaborators in this endeavor. For details concerning the times and the various events scheduled to take place between April 10 and 15, 2007, please refer to these links:

Among the exciting upcoming events will also be the world premiere on screen, on April 9, 2007, of Juliane Lorenz’ documentaries at MoMA: Fassbinder’s Berlin Alexanderplatz - A mega movie and its story (60 min.) Fassbinder’s Berlin Alexanderplatz - Notes about the restoration (35 min.)
We hope that many of you will be able to participate and to share with us this truly memorable and exciting event, for which numerous of Fassbinder’s stars will be present, among them Günter Lamprecht and Barbara Sukowa.
If you are interested to find out more about this project, its coverage in Germany, our collaborators, or the DVD release, please surf our website at http://www.fassbinderfoundation.de.
