After a four weeks longer presentation the most successful gallery-exhibition
Fassbinder: Berlin Alexanderplatz in New York will close

Kunst Werke, KW-Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin and the Media Department at The Museum of Modern Art, New York, has been presenting since October 21, 2007 in the P.S.1, Contemporary Art Center, the first U.S. gallery-exhibition Fassbinder: Berlin Alexanderplatz. The celebrated show, which was first presented at KW – Kunst Werke, Berlin in March 2007, will close after a four weeks longer presentation on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at 6pm. It was curated by MoMA´s Media Department Chief Curator Klaus Biesenbach, also editor of the 664 pages book Fassbinder: Berlin Alexanderplatz, which is available in german and english at Schirmer/Mosel, München, New York http://schirmer-mosel.germanartbooks.de/. The book contains essays of Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Susan Sontag and Klaus Biesenbach as well as original stills and excerpts of the original restored film. It was made possible by the support of the German Cultural Foundation, MoMA and The Fassbinder Foundation. If you get chance to see the exhibition, please do not miss it. Otherwise you have to travel to Buenos Aires, where the third station will open in March 2008.
