Günter Lamprecht to read Berlin Alexanderplatz
September 19 at Berlin’s Schlossparktheater
Recently reopened, the Schlossparktheater has invited Günter Lamprecht to the capital for a reading from Alfred Döblin’s Berlin Alexanderplatz. At almost 80, “Fassbinder’s (quintessential) Franz Biberkopf” will demonstrate his very personal acting skills. The flyer says: “Günter Lamprecht, who played the role of Biberkopf so convincingly, will create a much more opulent evening than customary for a regular reading.“ Saturday, September 19, 7PM, Schlossparktheater, Berlin-Steglitz

The Patmos Verlag will soon release a double CD of Günter Lamprecht’s staged reading with Peer Raben’s film music.
