Information and Update about Plays by and after RWF on National and International Stages
It´s the Easter week: Our team wishes all friends and supporters a nice and relaxing holiday weekend.
Two major Fassbinder productions are currently being played: At Berlin’s Schaubühne (THE BITTER TEARS OF PETRA VON KANT, D: Patrick Wengenroth) and at Hamburg’s Thalia Theater (VERONIKA VOSS, D: Bastian Kraft).
Below, we have listed a number of new productions as well as upcoming Fassbinder premieres.
THE MARRIAGE OF MARIA BRAUN did premiere, along with Wolfgang Borchert’s “Draußen vor der Tür / The Man Outside”, on 03.08. at the Nationaltheater Mannheim (D: Dominic Friedel).
WORLD ON A WIRE premiered on 03.13. at Theater Bonn (D: Mirja Biel / Jörg Zboralski)
BLOOD ON THE CAT’S NECK started on 03.08. at the Theater TAS in Los Angeles (D: Kaca Celan) and will premiere on 05.14. at the Akademietheater in Munich (D: Thomas Schmauser).
KATZELMACHER premiered at City Theatre Gavella in Zagreb on 03.21. (D: Anica Tomic), and will debut at Zimmertheater Tübingen (04.26., D: Michael Hanisch / Johannes Karl) as well as at the Rotierendes Theater Brixen (03.05, D: Joachim Goller)
FEAR EATS UP THE SOUL is going to premiere on 05.23. at the Landestheater Linz (D: Bernarda Horres) and in Hakan Savas Mican´s production is moving on to Berlin´s Maxim Gorki Theater on June, 6.
Japan calling: BREMEN FREEDOM will have its premiere on 06.28. at Engeki Shudan in Tokyo (D: Mitsutaka Tachikawa).
