Italian premiere of Veronika Voss
From April 4 in the Teatro Sala Fontana in Milan
The stage version of Veronika Voss, which had its German premiere at the Schauspiel Frankfurt in September 2010, is now opening in Italy. The stage version is based on the film script written by Peter Märthesheimer and Pea Fröhlich, which is in turn based on a concept developed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder. The plot focuses on the chance encounter of the sports reporter Robert Krohn with the former UFA star Veronika Voss, which triggers a drama about love, transience and multiple addictions. The play is being staged by the Elsinor Teatro Stabile d’Innovazione and directed by Pasquale Marrazzo.
